Starting this Sunday, April 1st, the North Boat Ramp will be re-opened to boaters. Amenities and facilities that will be accessible include: ample parking for vehicles and trailers, inspection stations for aquatic nuisance species, ramp space at two locations, and courtesy docks that can accommodate up to eight boat launches at one time. Temporary restroom facilities will also be provided.

North Boat Ramp Set to Reopen Sunday, April 1, 2018

Starting this Sunday, April 1st, the North Boat Ramp will be re-opened to boaters.  Amenities and facilities that will be accessible include: ample parking for vehicles and trailers, inspection stations for aquatic nuisance species, ramp space at two locations, and courtesy docks that can accommodate up to eight boat launches at one time.  Temporary restroom facilities will also be provided.

While the North Boat Ramp will be re-open, construction activities will continue in the area for a short period of time in order to complete landscaping and revegetation work, finish the remaining pavement of trails, and installation of restrooms, picnic tables, and shade structures.  Please respect all fenced-off areas to allow for successful regrowth of vegetation.

Overall Schedule Updates – Season 1

Chatfield Reservoir Mitigation Company, in collaboration with the project’s contractors and Chatfield State Park, are working to provide updated schedule information for the remaining Season 1 areas impacted by construction.  Some of the anticipated reopening dates are being revised to account for delays due to legal matters, utility conflicts, and poor soil conditions.  Based on extensive analysis of construction productivity, the revised reopening dates will be more accurate and provide visitors with a better idea of what will be accessible while Season 1 construction winds down.  All of the project’s participants remain committed to reopening areas as soon as possible, while ensuring construction is conducted safely and efficiently.

Updated schedule information will be posted on our website by the end of this week.
