Chatfield Reservoir Mitigation Company (“CRMC”) has selected Markit! Forestry Management, LLC to perform tree removal services near Roxborough Cove and Plum Creek Day Use Area.  Markit! Forestry will be working in a 10-acre demo plot area within Chatfield Reservoir’s fluctuation zone.  The trees that are being removed have been identified with blue paint by the Colorado State Forest Service.  To learn more about tree management at Chatfield Reservoir, please visit the following link: https://chatfieldreallocation.org/environment/#treemanagement.

Work in the area began the week of March 5, 2018 and should last about three weeks.  Work conducted within the demo plot will assist CRMC in determining best practices to be utilized for the remaining areas of the fluctuation zone.  A full contract for tree removal services will be awarded in Fall 2018.

While Roxborough Cove remains open, please use extreme caution and avoid all construction zones.
