Due to conflicts related to the relocation of Xcel Energy’s gas line, the completion of Swim Beach, Catfish Flats, and Fox Run, as well as the recreational trails from Deer Creek to Fox Run, have been delayed. The abandoned gas line runs through these day use areas and must be removed before construction can be completed. Removal operations have been approved to proceed and will begin the week of December 3rd. Please see the below updates for further information on anticipated re-openings.

Campgrounds
The Campgrounds will remain open throughout construction activities. However, please note that day time construction activities will occur near Loop A.
Effective October 1, 2018, the Campgrounds are only be accessible via the Park’s South Entrance off Titan Road and N Roxborough Road.
Plum Creek Trails (within Plum Creek Nature Area)
While the civil work and revegetation efforts are nearly complete, heavy construction activities are occurring adjacent to the area. Due to safety concerns, CRMC and Chatfield State Park have determined to keep the Plum Creek recreational trails closed until activities in the surrounding areas have subsided. Please stay tuned for an announcement of a reopening date.
