It finally feels like summer and Chatfield Reservoir Mitigation Company is pleased to report that Fox Run, Kingfisher, Gravel Ponds, the new South Platte Bridge, and Perimeter Road are on target to reopen to the public by the end of the day on July 3rd, 2019. The Marina will also have more amenities available, including the opening of the fishing pier, parking lots, and the restroom and shower building near the South Boat Ramp. The Perimeter Trail is also on target to be completed from Catfish Flats, over the new South Platte Bridge, and connecting to the Heronry.
Unfortunately, Roxborough Cove and Plum Creek Day Use Areas, as well as access to the Plum Creek Nature Area from the Park’s south entrance, will not be ready in time for the upcoming holiday. We are anticipating these areas will reopen by August 2, 2019.
As we continue to reopen areas, please note that furnishings and landscaping efforts may continue in some locations throughout the months of July and August. Please continue to visit our Construction Updates webpage at: https://chatfieldreallocation.org/construction/ to keep updated on the latest progress.
