Chatfield Reservoir Mitigation Company (CRMC) is excited to announce that the Chatfield Storage Reallocation Project has received final approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), granting the project participants the right to store water in the new reallocation pool. According to the authorization, the Corps has determined that “all recreation modifications, compensatory mitigation features, real estate interests, and ‘other modifications’ to the project’…have been satisfactorily completed.”
CRMC sincerely thanks all the federal, state, and local partners who made completion of this project possible. The unwavering support of Colorado’s Congressional Delegation, Douglas County, the water providers, and the nonprofit organizations was integral to reaching full project implementation. Additionally, CRMC would like to recognize all the contractors, engineers, consultants, and technical advisors whose expertise and extraordinary dedication ensured all project requirements were achieved in time for spring runoff 2020.
