August 15, 2019 – Revised Reopening of Roxborough Cove, Plum Creek Day Use Area, and Access to Plum Creek Nature Area

Due to minor construction delays, we unfortunately must inform the public that the reopening of Roxborough Cove and Plum Creek Day Use Areas has been rescheduled for August 15, 2019.  As a result of the delays, the completion of the new access trail from the Marina, through Roxborough Cove, and connecting with the new trail system within the Plum Creek Nature Area has also been pushed to August 15, 2019.  The access road to the Plum Creek Nature Area parking lot will also remain closed until August 15, 2019.

Once construction of Roxborough Cove, Plum Creek Day Use Area, and the trail and road access to Plum Creek Nature Area is completed, Chatfield State Park will have, for the first time, a trail system that allows recreators to circumnavigate the entire reservoir.
