Lane Closure in effect for Perimeter Road: 5/17/21 – 5/21/21

In order to perform roadway repairs on a portion of Perimeter Road west of Gravel Ponds and Kingfisher Day Use Areas, traffic will be reduced to one lane of traffic beginning Monday, May 17th, 2021 at 7:00am and lasting until Friday, May 21st, 2021 at 5:00pm.

The Dog Off Leash Area was not impacted by environmental mitigation or recreational modifications.

The stables were not impacted by environmental mitigation or recreation modification. However, the stable entrance road was relocated to the south to accommodate the new alignment and elevation of the Perimeter Road.

South Boat Ramp and Boat Parking Lot: The South Boat Ramp and boat parking lot reopened on June 1, 2019.

Landside Amenities: The car parking lots, fishing pier, restroom and shower building near the South Boat Ramp, large picnic areas, and most of the trail system opened July 3, 2019. All permanent restroom facilities, small picnic areas, outstanding trail work were completed in August 2019.

Marina Fuel Pier: Installation of the permanent fuel pier was completed by January 15, 2020. Power, water, fuel, and sanitary lift facilities are now permanent and available for the Marina’s slip renters.

Marina Floating Facility: The new Marina store and restaurant facility was reopened in April 2020.

The Campgrounds were not impacted by environmental mitigation or recreation modification.

Revegetation efforts within the area will be ongoing.  Please be respectful of fenced off areas.

SCHEDULE: As of July 3, 2019 the trail system through the South Platte mitigation area is open.

SCHEDULE: As of July 3, 2019, the recreation trails, stretching from Catfish Flats, over the new South Platte Bridge, and to the Heronry are OPEN.

Plum Creek Nature Area: As of August 16, 2019, access to the recreation trails within Plum Creek Nature Area from the Park’s South Entrance is OPEN.

South Platte: As of July 3, 2019 the trail system through the South Platte mitigation area is OPEN.

SCHEDULE: As of July 3, 2019 the Perimeter Road is OPEN from Jamison Day Use Area to the CPW Park Headquarters.
